As is becoming usual it appears, Drogba will miss the first two matches of the Champions League next year, having received a 2 match ban for his red card against Inter. It could have been a lot worse and I suspect the reason it wasn't was that the tribunal saw that the incident wasn't deliberate.

It appears that I called it right, Cech's injury is a calf injury and not a knee as some other internet sites were calling it. At this point the extent of the injury is unknown.
